Scar Revision Program

Here, at Aesthetic Solutions Center for Laser and Aesthetic Medicine we hope and feel that we can change the lives for better through the power of our lasers. Using state of the art laser technology originally used for wrinkles and acne scars, we are now able to treat and diminish deep-burn scars. In the "double laser" treatment called Total FX, a fractionated beam of our CO2 laser, removes a portion of the scar and new, healthy collagen will grow in. The treatment consists of using two separate lasers heads - Deep FX and Active FX. Deep FX shoots tiny beams that penetrate less than a millimeter into the scar tissue, heating it to the boiling point and vaporizing it. Active FX treatment flattens and evens out the texture and coloring of the remaining scar tissue. It will improve the look and the flexibility of scarred skin - anywhere from 40 to 70 percent.

Steve Zakany, M.D. has been working as a board certified physician for almost 25 years seeing patients of all ages. He knows how devastating both physically and emotionally scars can be whether from burns, severe acne or physical trauma.

Dr. Zakany has chosen to treat a limited number of financially stressed patients annually for little to no cost.

Dr. Zakany will personally review your case and select 4 to 6 patients per year who will receive treatments for their scars.
